Should Influenza Vaccination be done for children?
There are always the same questions about vaccination in autumn months. Should we have vaccination or not ? Some doctors take place on television channels and say “you should have flu vaccination” but on the other side they say to their friends “ You shouldn’t, because flu vaccines contains quicksilver”. What is that flu vaccination ? Should we have it for our children or not ?
In recent years, the flu vaccine has been taken to childhood immunization program in many countries. Influenza is seen especially in autumn and spring. It causes over 100.000 deaths around the world. Especially for certain age groups, there is high risk. These are; children younger than 2 years old, matures over 65 years old and asthmatics etc.
Seasonal influenza occurs because of the two virus whose names are; Influenza A and Influenza B virus. Influenza A generally outbreaks in January and February. Influenza B is usually more common in late winter to early spring. They are quickly transmitted infections which may cause damage. After influenza infection, there may be pneumonia or ear infections.
Influenza vaccines are created for every year by analyzing the previous years viruses. While doing this, type of influenza in the southern hemisphere and in Asia are taken into consideration.
In any case, influenza vaccination does not prevent illnesses, it may effect to overcome this disease. Almost none of the single dose of flu vaccines do not contain mercury. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist whether your vaccine contains mercury or not.
